Abstract:
In Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs), wireless-equipped vehicles form a network spontaneously while traveling along the road. The direct wireless transmission from vehicle to vehicle makes it possible for them to communicate even where there is no telecommunication infrastructure; this emerging new technology provide ubiquitous connectivity to vehicular nodes while on the move, The main idea is to provide ubiquitous connectivity to vehicular nodes while on the move, and to create efficient vehicle-to-vehicle communications that enable the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). This is achieved by allowing nodes within certain ranges to connect with each other in order to exchange information. Since accident happens in split seconds, to avoid communication inefficiency, there is need for this information to get to the intended vehicle on time. To solve this problem, this work models each vehicle in a chain of others and how it responds to the traffic around it using Microscopic (also known as car-following) method for modeling traffic flow; driver- to-driver and driver-to-road interactions within a traffic stream and the interaction between a driver and another driver on road were considered. The essence of this modeling is to determine the minimum response time required for a vehicle in VANET to respond and communicate situations on the road. A simulated scenario was carried out for two vehicles, a leading vehicle and following vehicle. The result shows that with an average of 32 meters apart with average difference in velocity of 1.23m/s, a minimum of 0.9secs is required for efficient situation response communication to ensue between them.

Abstract:
In Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) Wireless-equipped vehicles are able to communicate with each other as well as Road-Side Units (RSUs) located at strategic places on the road, this enables the formation of self-organized networks connecting the vehicles and RSUs. The (vehicles) nodes are fast mobile causing the network topology to change frequently and unpredictably. Since VANETs do not really rely on any form of central administration or control, nodes in the wireless range dynamically discover each other and establish connection with each other. Due to the pervasive nature of the mobile nodes, it cannot be assumed that VANETs will always be under the control of their owners; nodes could be stolen or tampered with. Each vehicle (node) acts as an independent router and fault detection and network management becomes distributed and more difficult. The shared wireless medium is accessible to both legitimate and illegitimate users; and this has raise formidable research challenges to providing security for this network. This paper take a selective review of the published research work carried out in the security and privacy issue of VANET between 2003 and 2015 and derived a new perspective into the security and privacy attacks in VANET.

Abstract:
Existing methods for promoting credit card information security have exhibited confidentiality, privacy and integrity failures. In most cases, sensitive and classified data or information is presented in unencrypted formats to remote machines resulting in unauthorized access and disclosure. Based on these findings, this paper presents an RSA encryption and tokenization-based system for credit card information security. The proposed system is composed of the merchant and tokenization modules as well as a token vault. The merchant and the tokenization modules send credit card information and generate the transaction validation token respectively while the token vault is a database with restricted and controlled access hosted on a cloud storage engine. The implementation of the system was carried out on Pentium IV with 2.0 GHZ Duo Core Processor and 2 GB of RAM on Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System. APACHE server and HTML (Sublime) with CSS JavaScript served as the frontend while MySQL database from WAMP server and PHP joined as the backend on Mozilla Firefox browser. Analysis of the results of implementation with Master, Verve and Visa cards showed that the system delivered very high usability, adaptability and favorable experience for users. Analysis also showed the relative advantages and superiority of the system in credit card security, key size, mobile alert and tokenization over some other systems.

Abstract:
In today’s fast changing business environment, it is extremely important to be able to respond to client needs in the most effective and timely manner. In online business, customers will wish to view products and services online without waiting or delaying. Researches have shown that most of the systems developed recently were not customer-centric. As a result, this research has proposed a customer-centric transformation for next generation e-commerce web application, which retails various brands of cars. The developed system would enable users to register, login, place order for desired products and make payment by using cash on delivery or pay later option, however, the user will be expected to pay shipping fee depending on the location. In developing the system, different strategies - like 3-tier architecture, server and model were considered. The tools used were bootstrap and JavaScript to design the front-end, codeigniter frame work for validation and verification, and to achieve a high degree of speed and less memory requirements, MySQL database were used. The result of the implementation did not only produced a customer centric website with many functionalities and user-friendly interface, but also provides an easy access to viewing orders placed by Administrators and Managers.

Abstract:
Electronic commerce is a driving force for Information Technology (IT). Mobile agents profit from this development, and offer substantial advantages such as autonomous delegation of task, off-line principle, low communication cost and bandwidth for certain electronic commerce applications in return. Electronic Customers are curious in searching for an electronic shop that can offer them goods and services at the affordable price. The present electronic commerce transaction allows at a time, interaction between a customer and a shop, a technology that can be referred to as client-server system. In a situation whereby a Customer is interested in searching for information from many electronic shops at a time is not possible with this technology. Mobile agent technology allows a customer to interact with many electronic shops at a time, such a shop must also be agent based. The customer sends its agent from his own customer agent-based platform to electronic shops that are also agent based. Interaction takes place between Customer-Agent (CA) and Shop-Agent (SA) for various transactions that are involved. A major requirement to build confidence in mobile agent technology is the availability of adequate security mechanisms. The security concern is how to ensure integrity, confidentiality, authenticity and non-repudiation for the data involved in the transaction. The existing security technique that had been deployed for agent-based electronic commerce is cryptography. This paper considers hybridization of cryptography and steganography which formed crypto-steganography to secure agent-based electronic commerce application.
